Woodloes Homestead, the oldest remaining building in Cannington, was built circa 1874 and was the residence of Francis Bird (who also designed the homestead) and family. Today it is managed by the Canning District Historical Society Inc and open to the public as a pioneer museum.

The chapel, otherwise known as 'the church with the chimney', is a reconstruction of a church which once stood along Albany Hwy, Cannington. The reconstruction involved using many of the materials from the original church, which was built in 1890.  Today it makes up one of many historical pieces located within the Woodloes Homestead grounds.
